This paper compares the convergence and difference of Northeast Asian countries in the process of regional economic development, and finds out that the basic requirements and determinants of the establishment of "optimal currency zone" designed by Mundell in the present Northeast Asia are not available , But financial cooperation can be step by step, level to promote, and gradually enrich and develop the connotation of cooperation.
