The new crown pneumonia epidemic has brought a great impact to China's economy, but it has stimulated the overall acceleration of the digital economy, which has become an important force to hedge the impact of the epidemic, promote economic stabilization and recovery, and build a domestic and international dual-cycle development pattern. In the post-epidemic era, we should seize the strategic opportunities brought by the development of the digital economy, grasp the underlying logic and top-level design of the digital economy to empower China's "dual circulation" strategy, combine China's market advantages and data advantages, give full play to the scale effect of the digital economy, and open up a new situation for the implementation of China's economic "dual circulation" strategy. Starting from the essential characteristics of the digital economy and the profound connotation of the "dual circulation" strategy of the Chinese economy, this paper discusses the realistic path of the digital economy to empower China's "dual circulation" strategy on the basis of clarifying the internal basic logic of the two, and proposes that in the post-epidemic era, the extensive empowerment of the digital economy should be used to promote and accelerate the formation of a new development pattern with the domestic cycle as the main body and the domestic and international dual circulation promoting each other.
