AbstractAs an important situation of China management research and practicethe drastic change makes the environmentsubject and interaction increasingly complex and diverse.While this environment can provide organizations with significant opportunities for success and growthit can also present significant threats and challenges Howeverunder the same situationsome companies snap and some other companies snap back.What makes the differences for individuals organizationscommunities and countries to surviveadapt and even prosper in the most unexpected environment? The answer largely lies in the characteristics of resilienceResilience derives from adversity.The cultivation of organizational resilience in uncertain environment is not only an emerging topic with a high degree of theoretical frontierbut also a practical pain point for enterprises' current managementbecause organizational resilience can help companies to turn danger into safety in an unpredictable VUCA environment Although its important strategic significance for current and future corporate practice has won general consensusthe existing research still lacks in.depth understanding of the nature of organizational resiliencethe measurement method is not yet matureand the research situation presents a fragmented scene Based on thisthis paper conducted a systematic review of domestic and foreign research achievementattempting to provide new ideas and inspiration for future research of this topic

Firstlythis paper systematically sorts out the representative research of organizational resilienceand summarizes that there are two main viewpoints of concept definition: dynamic view and static view On the one handscholars who uphold the dynamic view”regard organizational resilience as a dynamic capability or development process that can be cultivated and developedso advocate defining organizational resilience from the perspective of the capability and the process On the other handscholars who uphold the “static view”regard organizational resilience as the ideal traits possessed or the coping results achieved by organizationsso advocate defining organizational resilience from the perspective of the trait and the result

Secondlyon the basis of cognizing and understanding the concept of organizational resiliencethe measurement methods of organizational resilience are divided into two types: direct measurement and indirect measurement This paper summarizes the main implementation pointsrepresentative scholarsmeasurement dimensions and perspectives and viewpoints of the corresponding concept connotation

Thirdlyorganizational resilience is a contextual conceptand contextual clarity is the hub to activate and develop organizational resilience This paper sorts and categorizes the fragmented contextual factors involved in the literaturedivides it into a narrow perspective and a broad perspectiveand further condenses the contextual events of organizational resilience under different perspectiveswhich helps to clarify the application of organizational resilience

Finallyin order to make up for the existing shortcomings and limitations of organizational resilience theorythis paper based on the analysis and summary of the conceptual connotationsituation pictureresearch objectinfluencing factorcoping mechanismimplementation effect of organizational resilience to integrate the above fragmented knowledge into a systematic research framework by introducing the I.P.O paradigm In the I.P.O model of systematic research frameworkthe situation is the objectinput ( I) situational stimulus; the organization is the subjectthe process ( P) of organizational resilience is the core of research; and the resilience result is the organizational output ( O) which can be divided into three levels: survivaladaptation and growth

Taking into account of the focus on theoretical frontiers and the breakthrough of practical bottlenecksthis paper aims to expand and enrich the research system of organizational resilience theoryand also provide knowledge support for practitioners to cultivate and develop organizational resilience
