Abstracts: The space distribution characteristics of large and superlarge deposits as well as the major ore deposit types which may form large and superlarge deposits are summarized, and the discovery histories of the large and superlarge deposits known in the world are analysed, It is tentatively concluded that there are space relations between large and superlarge deposits and deposit concentration regions or metal provinces as well as large ore anomalies. Large and superlarge deposits do occur in deposit concentration regions. So, ore deposit concentration region should be served as the studied object when we undertake metallogenic prediction of large and superlarge deposits. Firstly, assess those of ore deposit concentration regions in which large and superlargedeposits may occur; then, study the prerequisite conditions for the occurrence of large and superlarge deposits in ore deposit concentration regions. Based on the study of ore deposit concentration region as well as the ore type under research, the prediction way may be dertermined. In an ore deposit concentration region, the metallogenic geological environment and mineral source of large and superlarge deposits are similar to those of moderate and small deposits; simultaneously, there are also differences between them. On the basis of the relevant investigations just mentioned, ore-finding signs for a certain type of large and superlarge deposits can be defined and ore-finding model of these deposits can be established as well, therefore metallogenic prediction of this kind of large and superlarge deposits can be carried on effectively.
