Abstract: Based on the employment survey data of college graduates in 2012, this paper applies statistical analysis method to examine the influence of psychological characteristics and job search behavior on employment status. The results show that job search self-efficacy can predict job search time and thinking behavior for future work, and the perceived control of job search results can predict job search time and job search frequency, but neither can predict the employment status of college students upon graduation. Among the three job search behaviors, job search time and job search frequency can predict the employment status of college students upon graduation, but both of them have negative effects on them. On the one hand, it may come from individual differences, on the other hand, it may come from college students' job search ability.
