Abstract: Based on the questionnaire survey data, this paper measures the education-work matching degree of the new generation of migrant workers by using the worker self-evaluation method, and analyzes the income effect of the education-work matching of the new generation of migrant workers by using ORU model. The result shows that the educational yield of the new generation of migrant workers when their education matches their jobs is higher than their actual educational yield. Although over-education has a positive impact on the income of the new generation of migrant workers, it is not statistically significant. Lack of education has a significant negative impact on the income of male new generation migrant workers, but has no significant impact on female new generation migrant workers.
