Empirical Analysis of Factors of Influencing Graduates’ Employment Quality

Abstract: Recently, the problem of graduates’employment quality has been a hot topic discussed. However, the criteria are not agreed by different subjects. But undoubtedly, wage and job satisfaction are two main indicators for individual graduates’emplyment satisfaction. Based on the survey data of college graduates’emplyment, the paper adopts statistic and micro-econometric methods to analyze factors of influencing graduates’employment quality from individual character aspect to work character aspect. The results show that the factors of influencing wage are different with that of job satisfaction. The factors of influencing wage mainly are human capital variables, such as education background, types of school; while that of job satisfaction are environmental variables related to individual’s working attitude and growing environment, such as family background. In this paper, the estimated results also show that wage is one of the main factors influencing the individual job satisfaction, but its significant influence degree only appears in the 10% level.
