Abstract:According to the data of China Comprehensive Social Survey (CGSS) in 2013, this paper studies the related issues of intergenerational occupational mobility between urban and rural areas, and focuses on the analysis of the impact of intergenerational educational mobility on intergenerational career mobility. Through the research, it is found that: (1) The intergenerational career inheritance is obvious in China, and there are obstacles to the mobility among different occupational classes. (2) Parent's occupational class has a significant impact on intergenerational career mobility, but children can significantly increase the probability of occupational upward mobility by receiving education. (3) The education level of the parents significantly affects the education level of the children, and the inheritance of education between generations will result in the inheritance of occupation between generations to a certain extent.
