Abstract:【Purpose/significance】From the perspective of economics, international knowledge spillover is an important factor to explain a country's technological progress and economic growth.【Method/process】This paper uses citation visualization software named HistCite to locate the core document and analyzes the year of publication and citation sequence of the paper to reveal the historical development of the study.【Result/conclusion】In the 1990s, the field of international knowledge spillover experienced the integrated development of diversified theories, and a number of classic literatures emerged on the channels of international trade and foreign investment. The research on international knowledge spillover started from scattered theories in the literatures to extensive empirical studies.
