The Second Annual Conference of Chinese Universities Think Tank Forum was held in Shanghai from December 5 to December 6. This forum was initiated by the Ministry of Education and Shanghai Municipal Government and sponsored by Fudan University and Chinese Universities Think Tank Forum Secretariat. The theme this year is “2020: Seeking Development of China in “Four Prolonged Comprehensive Strategy”.
The Forum aimed to bridge together spiritual creation and research findings, talents and policies. Deputy Director of the Ministry of Education Du Yubo pointed out that it was an urgent task for the nation to enhance the soft force ofChinaby establishing new think tanks with Chinese characteristics, which was an essential way to fuel the thirteenth “Five-year Plan”. Universities and colleges of higher learning should take an active part in serving for the “four comprehensives” strategy by confirming their functions, strengthening their overall planning, optimizing their organizational forms and building high-level professional think tanks.
